Mention the words “comic book convention” to the uninitiated, and most people will likely picture a dark room full of stereotypical nerds mulling over Star Trek trivia and searching musty old boxes for rare comic books.
Yet many of these people would be shocked by the size and scope of today’s sci fi and comic book conventions, including Arizona’s Phoenix ComiCon, Canada’s Toronto Comicon, and Washington’s Emerald City ComiCon.
